Ministries in the Community

The following ministries listed are connected to the Nelson Baptist Association and provide different resources to our surrounding community. ALC Shepherdsville: ALC is a community resource that exists to support women and families facing or having faced an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. They encourage and equip women to make educated decisions about their pregnancy. They provide free pregnancy tests, free limited ultrasounds, material assistance (cribs, car seats, baby clothing, household items, etc.), confidential peer counseling for individuals and couples, parenting classes, prenatal and infant care education, One-on-One mentoring, along with a host of other services.  All services are free and confidential.  You can learn more by clicking the link below:No photo description available.

The New Life Center: The New Life Center is a family support center located in Bardstown, KY. They believe families are an essential natural resource and we are dedicated to helping to support and strengthen yours!  At The New Life Center you will find compassionate and committed individuals dedicated to meeting the needs of you and your family.  They do this through mentoring and parenting classes, via both their Earn While You Learn and Court-Approved programs. Mark12 Ministries: Mark12 is a ministry based out of Mercy Hill Church in Shepherdsville that operates as an outreach center to the homeless and impoverished in Shepherdsville.  They believe that homelessness and poverty are the result of broken relationships. God established four foundational relationships for each person: a relationship with God, with self, with others, and with the rest of creation. These relationships are the building blocks for all of life.  They help by offering a White-Flag Shelter, a community meal the first and third Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., and emergency food boxes for local families.  You can find out more by clicking the link below:

Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief: Kentucky has an active disaster relief program that works in concert with similar programs in other states. More than 2,500 individuals are trained as Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief workers. Volunteers can staff feeding units designed to deliver thousands of hot meals on short notice; move in with chainsaws to help remove debris; do the dirty work of helping families remove mud from flooded homes; and provide many other disaster relief services.
