Here is a list of Vacation Bible School’s that are happening around our Association:

Nelson County:

1) Emerald Crossing from Answers in Genesis at Parkway Baptist Church on June 1-5 from 9am to 12pm.  Located at 2580 Springfield Road, Bardstown, KY 40004.


2) Emerald Crossing from Answers in Genesis at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church on June 15-19 from 5pm to 8pm.  Located at 754 Bellwood Road, Bardstown, KY 40004.


Bullitt County:


1) Illumination Station from Lifeway at Mt Carmel Baptist Church on June 22-25 from 6pm to 8:30 pm.  Located at 1305 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Lebanon Junction, KY 40150.


2) Illumination Station from Lifeway at Vine Hill Baptist Church on June 22-26 from 6pm to 9pm.  Located at 2078 Clermont Road, Coxs Creek, KY 40165.

2026 Spring Gathering – Worship and Work: Until All Things Are Made New

Main Speaker: Justin Anderson, Pastor of Bardstown Junction Baptist Church – “Let Us Go to the Mountain of the Lord” (Isaiah 1:1-2:4).

Breakout Sessions:

1) Protecting the Vulnerable: Child Abuse & Sexual Assault Awareness for Churches by Katie Williams. This breakout session will equip church leaders and volunteers with practical tools to recognize warning signs of child abuse and sexual assault. Participants will learn appropriate reporting guidelines and steps to create a safer church environment for children and vulnerable individuals. The session will also highlight preventative practices churches can implement to protect their congregations and respond responsibly to concerns. Katie is a prevention specialist at Silverleaf, a rape crisis and child advocacy center. She holds a Master’s degree in forensic psychology and finishing up a second Master’s degree in social work. She is on the Central Kentucky Human Trafficking Task Force and serves as a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

2) The Double-Edged Blade of Artificial Intelligence by James VanMeter. Artificial Intelligence is the next big thing and is being incorporated into almost everything. In this breakout session you will discover the advantages that A.I. can bring to everyday life while also candidly examining the real disadvantages. This session will help inform you on the potential of A.I. and help you adopt clear strategies to use A.I. wisely in your personal context. James is a software engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and certifications in web and back-end development. He specializes in building scalable systems and developing efficient, user-focused applications. He currently works at CoverMyMeds, a Fortune 10 company and one of the largest healthcare organizations in the world,where he helps create technology that improves access to medications and streamlines communication across the healthcare system. James is also a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

5) Cedar Grove Baptist (4900 Cedar Grove Rd., Shepherdsville, KY. 40165) begins at 7:30 a.m.

Save the Date for the 2026 NBA Spring Gathering

The Spring Gathering of the Nelson Baptist Association has been scheduled for Sunday, April 19th.  Our Spring Gathering is an annual event held by our association to help equip and strengthen our churches through a time of training, worship, and fellowship.  This year’s event will be hosted by Vine Hill Baptist Church.  Conveniently located off Interstate 65 on Hwy. 245, it is a prime location that is centrally located between most of our association churches.  The address is 2078 Clermont Rd, Coxs Creek, KY.  The event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Here is the breakdown of the schedule:


Breakout Sessions: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Dinner and Fellowship: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Main Worship Session: 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
