Constitution Meeting for the Association

We are once again amending the constitution for the Nelson Baptist Association.  Your church should’ve received a copy of the proposed changes and a cover letter explaining those changes back in early June.  If for some reason you did not receive that email or have misplaced it then you can download that information below (both documents are in WORD format).

We want to allow the people of our association churches to have a voice in this discussion so we are planning to host two discussion meetings to answer any questions or concerns they may have.  These meetings have been scheduled for:

1) Tuesday, August 8th at Bardstown Baptist Church in Bardstown at 6:30 p.m.

2) Tuesday, August 15th at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shepherdsville at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Ministry Opportunity through Mark12

There is an opportunity to serve our community through a new ministry run by Mark12 Ministries.  Please read their message below:

“We are super excited to share that Mark 12 has officially taken command of Outreach Thrift. The staff and volunteers have welcomed us like family and we have already met so many “regulars”. It has been amazing to see behind the scenes of what it takes to operate a thriving resource for Bullitt County. As the busy summer season is quickly approaching, we need help. If you are interested in volunteering to help out behind the scenes- we need help sorting donations, organizing, putting out merchandise and more. This is a great opportunity for small groups that want to serve together or for individuals. As the store grows, so will our need for volunteers.

The shop will continue have the same great prices and a different sale each and every day. Mondays and Saturdays are still 25% off everything in the store. Other sales will be announced daily on Facebook. If you have questions or are ready to join our team of amazing volunteers, send us a message at info@mark12.org or call/text 502-240-7543. Be sure to stop in soon and say hi!
I would also appreciate prayer. We are experiencing some unexpected staff turnover and thought that we would have more time to get our volunteer pool raised up. God is blessing us already with very good business and increased donations. But God is good, the community is welcoming Mark 12 with open arms and we have already been able to minister to so many. Thanks so much!”
